Council Webinar Test Session #2

  • Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council 800 North State Street, Suite 201 Dover, DE 19901 USA (map)

The Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council has changed webinar platforms and will now be conducting virtual meetings via Webex. We have scheduled two test sessions to allow Council members and other participants to set up and get acquainted with webinar controls before the April Council Meeting. The test sessions will be held at the following dates/times:

  1. Wednesday, March 31, 2021, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (details)

  2. Monday, April 5, 2021, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Connect at any time during these sessions to make sure you have the Webex application, test your audio, and get familiar with the controls. You can also use the Webex Test Meeting tool at any time to test your audio connection and make sure you have the application installed.

Please review the Council Meeting Webex Participant Guide before joining the meeting.

Webinar Connection Instructions - April 5

Please note that these instructions are for the April 5 Test Session. Visit the April 2021 Meeting Page for the webinar link and phone numbers for the Council meeting.

  • Click Here to Join the Webinar

    • If prompted, enter meeting number: 129 721 6259; Meeting password: mafmc

  • Get the Application: If this is your first time using Webex you will be prompted to download and install the application (recommended), or you can choose to join the meeting in your browser. If you would like to download the application in advance, you may do so here. If you are joining from a mobile device, search for “Cisco Webex Meetings” in your app store.

  • Sign In: On the sign in page, enter your name and email address. (Reminder for Council members: Please remember to enter “00-” before your names when you sign in. Staff will no longer be able to add the 00- before your name after you enter the webinar.)

  • Connect your audio: On the meeting preview screen you can choose how you want to connect your audio. Participants will have the option to use their computer mic/speakers or phones for audio. If you have an unstable internet connection, we recommend using phone. To use your phone to connect to audio, first sign into the Webex link above, then look for the “call in” option (if you don’t see this, look for the “use computer for audio” button which you can click to bring up the “call in” option). That will give you a prompt with the phone number, access code, and Attendee ID#. Please make sure to use the Attendee ID# on your screen, as that will allow us to identify you on our end.

  • Telephone-only access: For those who will not be joining the webinar but would like to listen in to the audio portion only, dial 1-844-621-3956 (meeting number: 129 721 6259#). Please only use this option if you are not connecting to the webinar. Participants connected by phone only will need to enter *6 on their keypad to unmute/mute themselves and *3 to raise/lower their hands.

Webinar Help: If you have webinar issues, please check the Webex Participant Guide and these troubleshooting steps to see if your question is addressed there. This page provides step-by-step instructions for joining a meeting from Windows and Mac computers, IOS and Android devices, and internet browsers.

Staff Contacts: If you need technical assistance prior to the meeting, contact Stephen Pearson at spearson@mafmc.org or (302) 526-5256. Please note that we will have different staff contacts listed on the April Meeting Page for help during the actual Council meeting.

Test Your Webinar Connection: The week before the meeting we will have two opportunities for participants to join a test session and troubleshoot any issues with Council staff (details coming soon - check back for updates). You can also use the Webex Test Meeting tool to test your audio connection and make sure you have the application installed.
