NOAA Fisheries released the following announcement on August 4, 2014:
NOAA Fisheries is extending the deadline for the Federal Funding Opportunity announcement number NOAA-NMFS-NEFSC-2015-2004064 for the Mid-Atlantic Research Set-Aside (RSA) program from Monday, August 11, 2014 to Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
We are taking this action in response to changes being considered by the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council), which includes whether the 2015 RSA quotas should be eliminated and set to zero. The Council will be considering these changes at their meeting on August 12, 2014. We encourage parties that are interested in pursuing funding through the Mid-Atlantic Research Set-Aside program to track decisions made at the upcoming meeting. To keep prospective applicants informed, we will send out additional updates that affect the 2015 Mid-Atlantic RSA Federal Funding Opportunity as they become available.
If the NOAA Grants Office receives an application before the original due date, the application will be immediately returned to the submitter requesting proper action of the proposal in accordance with the revised Council changes.
