Woods Hold Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) Accepting Requests for Travel Funding for ICES Annual Science Conference

Limited funding to support travel to the ICES Annual Science Conference, via a NSF grant to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, is available to encourage participation by researchers from U.S. academic institutions. Strong preference will be given to scientists within 7 years of receipt of the PhD who are first-time ICES participants. Potential participants should submit abstracts for oral presentations or posters in one of the 20 theme sessions listed below (instructions can be found at http://www.ices.dk/news-and-events/asc/ASC2016/Pages/Call-for-papers.aspx). Applicants for travel funds should communicate with Dr. Andy Solow (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution; email asolow@whoi.edu), with a cc to Mary Schumacher (mschumacher@whoi.edu) and provide a copy of their accepted abstract, a short statement of reasons for attending, and a brief biographical sketch. Decisions on travel awards will be made by 1 July 2016.

Requests for Travel Funds by new U.S. participants due 15 June 2016
