Peer Review of Four Fishery Species Set for August

The following was released by NOAA Fisheries Northeast Fisheries Science Center:

The stock assessments for black sea bass, bluefish, monkfish and scup will be peer reviewed on August 5-7, at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center's Woods Hole Laboratory. Meeting details and call-in information can be found here.

Black sea bass, bluefish, and scup have strong recreational components.  During these assessments we will incorporate updated data through 2018, including newly revised catch estimates for recreational fishing.

At this meeting, the data and models will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts. More information about the review and the review panel is posted here.
