As part of the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council’s 50th anniversary celebration, we invited photographers to help tell the story of Mid-Atlantic fisheries through our first-ever photo contest.
We received a diverse collection of images capturing life on the water, fishing vessels and gear, marine species and habitats, fisheries science, and the people and communities connected to the region’s fisheries.
We are pleased to share some of the highlights from the contest below. These selected images offer a glimpse into the many different experiences, places, people, and species that make Mid-Atlantic fisheries unique.
