Maryland - Appointed Obligatory Member (1st term, Exp. 2029)
Dave Blazer is the former director of Fishing and Boating Service for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR). In this capacity, Blazer led the team that managed the state’s fishing and boating resources by keeping ecosystem balance while providing high quality, diverse and accessible fishing and boating opportunities. Throughout his career he has demonstrated the ability to bring a range of diverse stakeholders together for a common goal. Blazer brings over four decades of environmental and natural resource experience. He has held numerous leadership roles with the Department of Natural Resources, Chesapeake Bay Commission, Maryland Coastal Bays Program, and the Maryland Port Administration. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Towson University and continued his education at the University of Maine, School of Law where he completed a concentrated program focusing on Marine Resources Law.
