New Jersey - Appointed At-Large Member (1st Term, Exp. 2028)
Born and raised in Cape May, New Jersey, Jake Wiscott is a second-generation fisherman whose career is deeply rooted in the waters of the Mid-Atlantic. As the owner-operator of the Susan L, Jake specializes in harvesting scallops, squid, fluke, sea bass, scup, and a variety of other species, supplying high-quality, responsibly caught seafood to markets near and far.
Jake has collaborated extensively with scientific research foundations, providing valuable industry expertise to advance marine science and promote responsible fishing practices. As a board member and contributor to the Fisherman Survival Fund, he is dedicated to advocating for the safety, rights, and livelihoods of commercial fishermen. Through his committee work, Jake is committed to preserving ocean health and advancing sustainability for future generations.
When not at sea, Jake enjoys life in his hometown of Cape May with his wife, Stephanie, where they are raising their three children. Together, they value a deep connection to the ocean, a commitment to hard work, and a shared dedication to their coastal community.
